London Book Launch for The Manga Bible on 3 March

Poster for the launch event of The Manga Bible

We’re holding a launch event with a difference for The Manga Bible in London on 3 March.

Most book launches are invitation-only affairs for journalists and a few friends. For The Manga Bible, the innovative Octopus PR team, who made me look so great on video, have worked with my lovely colleagues at Seed Talks to put on a launch event that’s more inclusive, and to give you an opportunity to get a copy signed by the author on launch day.

There’ll still be journalists, social media people and friends there – I hope! – but there are also tickets available for anyone who wants to come along. Instead of just circulating with a glass in my hand and a hopeful expression on my face, looking for someone to talk to, I’ll be giving a presentation on the book and sharing stories from it.

You can get a ticket just to see and hear me, of course, but if you buy a ticket that includes a copy of the book, it’s much better value than getting the book separately. And of course, I’ll sign your copy if you’d like me to. You definitely need to buy a book/ticket combo if you want to pick up the book at the event, as there won’t be extra copies on sale.

Tickets are available here but the venue isn’t Wembley Stadium, alas, so book now to be sure of getting one. I’ll hope to see you on 3 March!

(And if you want a lighter bite of manga history to snack on between now and March, you can still get my mini-marvel A Brief History of Manga!)
