Pulling together businessmen, scholars, critics and fans, he’s created a series of one-on-one interviews capturing people’s own recollections and personal views of the development of the anime business, mostly in the USA but also acknowledging the British role in its growth. With speakers including Andy Frain, Laurence Guinness, Jerry Beck, Stu Levy, Robert Napton and John O’Donnell, and bonus tier extras from the likes of Peter Tatara, Tim Eldred, Bruno Tilley and Leah Holmes, it’s riveting viewing – especially when it doesn’t exactly (or even remotely) match how you remember the events in question.
